Apex IT Solutions is a dynamic company in Sarnia, Ontario that specializes in providing IT Consulting, Computer Support and Network Services for businesses. Apex is looking to hire an IT Network Support Analyst for a full-time permanent career opportunity. Contribute to this growing business by bringing your experience providing front line and remote IT support to our clients. In this role, the IT Network Support Analyst will work independently as a representative on site. Remote guidance and team collaboration will be available, but you must be able to hold the fort and represent your team in a professional manner. You’ll need strong customer service and communication skills, both written and oral as well as excellent organizational skills in this fast paced, cutting edge field.

What does the IT Network Support Analyst have the chance to do on the day-to-day? Aside from providing support to our Technology team, you will:

  • Provide timely and friendly front-line and remote IT support services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, server, printer and software issues
  • Update network applications
  • Replace or repair defective parts and equipment
  • Conduct technology training for new users
  • Monitor and remove virus, spyware, and other software as requested

The required skills and experience you possess:

  • 3 to 5 years of practical IT experience
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license and use of a vehicle
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently

The skills/experience you may possess that would be assets:

  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user applications and devices (MS Office (on premise & O365), MS Exchange 2016, Outlook clients 2016, Web Browsers, mobile devices (iOS & Android), desk phones etc…)
  • Install, configure, and maintain domain-based Windows desktops/laptops/servers (Mac OSx, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & Windows 10; Windows Server 2008/12)
  • Perform Adds/Moves/Changes and basic troubleshooting of Active Directory user accounts; other directory objects; DNS/DHCP/DFS environments; NTFS and file share security
  • Support end-users in TCP/IP, Ethernet, and 802.11 wireless environments
  • Support networked printers and end-user peripheral devices
  • Perform network device log and policy analysis, general upkeep and maintenance of hardware, patch/update management
