Part-Time IT Support / Network Technician

Apex IT Solutions provides IT consulting and support to small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Sarnia-Lambton area. We’re looking for a reliable and experienced IT technician who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and working across a variety of real-world business environments.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, ideal for someone with solid IT experience who wants meaningful technical work without the structure of a traditional full-time helpdesk role.

You’ll provide both remote and on-site support for our business clients. While our team is always available for collaboration, you must be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting issues on your own, and representing Apex professionally with clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting small business networks and end users

• Troubleshooting computers, printers, servers, and connectivity issues

• Assisting with Microsoft 365 environments

• Maintaining Windows workstations and basic server environments

• Supporting Wi-Fi networks, firewalls, and general network connectivity

• Helping users resolve day-to-day technical problems

No two days are the same — our clients range from professional offices to small businesses, so you’ll encounter a wide variety of technology environments.

What We’re Looking For

• Some Real-world IT support experience

• Strong troubleshooting ability across Windows systems and networks

• Comfortable working directly with clients

• Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively

• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Experience That Helps

• Microsoft 365 / Exchange environments

• Windows desktop and server support

• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP

• Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls)

• Supporting printers and end-user devices
